Just spent much of the day playing at Amazon... I have been interested in reading a Winston Churchill's 6 book history of The Second World War. I am a cheap somebody, so I just nailed a used paperback of the first book and decided if I can make it through that, I would invest in the other five (also used).Anyway, I kept seeing references to Kindle books. I knew they had a Kindle app for the iPod Touch, and I have used it before, but didn't stick with it because other reader apps (Stanza) were much more robust. Anyway, I decided that I would try the Kindle app again, and got Edward Gibbon's six volume set on "The History Of The Decline And Fall Of The Roman Empire". Yeah, I know I can Gutenberg it and read it for free, but I bought it for $.99 and wanted the experience of reading on the Kindle app and of going through the steps to get content and whatnot.
So far, it seems to be a VERY basic ebook reader. No font adjustments (other than size), very basic color options, and the "chapters" deal is not the easiest to figure out at first.
We shall see...
